Classic jazz, silky smooth with a gospel touch, that's the music in me. My voice and songs inspire my audience so much so that they cannot resist the urge to sing along and participate in this engaging soulful musical experience. Music is magic! Music is my passion!
Pat Watson, winner of The African Nova Scotia Music Association's 2009 "Rising Star" award has been singing most of her life. As a little girl, she had a recurring dream, "I would be sitting in the audience watching myself sing on stage" she recalls, "and be on stage watching myself in the audience."
This has played out in her life because she has actually been in both places. She has performed many times on different stages and been an appreciative audience member watching - and listening - to other musicians.
Pat performs with John Bird (keyboard), John Duckworth (harmonica), Dave Skinner (drums) and Steve McNeil (stand-up bass). Pat also sings with the dynamic Nova Gospel Ensemble.
'It was a great time in Chester I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere. the way you looked on the stage was amazing and I was taking notes. It was a privilege to work with you on this concert and the people no doubt enjoyed the final product. GREAT JOB on the planning, the crowd was amazing and I was happy to see them Dance . . . lol. You are an inspiration and I hope to sing with you again in the future." - MARKO
"When Pat Watson finished singing On Holy Ground . . . the whole church was silent.
You know, that silence that says WOW - you have moved me so much I can't ruin the moment by clapping.
She
wowed the entire church - both religious and non-religious with a stunning rendition of that gospel tune.
My Choir - Studio Singers - was the backup group for that piece
and we were honoured to have been part of it.
The group loves singing behind Pat. She brings us to new heights and takes us to new places with her music and
her person."
