What You Need to Know!
Patricia Watson, a winner of The African Nova Scotia Music Association's "Rising Star" award, has been singing gospel music and jazz most of her life.
As a little girl, she had a recurring dream, "I would be sitting in the audience watching myself sing on stage" she recalls, "and be on stage watching myself in the audience." This has played out in her life because she has actually been in both places. She has performed many times on different stages and been an appreciative audience member watching - and listening - to other musicians.
Since retiring, Patricia has been involved in singing and speaking at various churches in the US and Canada. She has performed at the Halifax Jazz Festival, Tucson Jazz Festival, Harmony Bazaar Women’s Festival and the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival.
Patricia presently sings with the Patricia Watson Quintet and Seaside A Cappella Chorus.

Sometimes in life you can feel stuck and don’t know how to move forward. We can work together to figure out a way out of the situation. I am here to assist you in the journey back to your true Self. The journey back to who you really are. Together, we will reawaken that Power within you so that you may experience all that you came here to Be. To Do what you came here to do. And to Have all that your heart desires. There are also times when things are moving along easily and smoothly and all you need is encouragement to continue moving forward. I am here to be a witness and coach you during those times.
Patricia is a member of The Center of Peace in Elkins Park, PA. She assists with the Sunday services as a singer, delivering Spiritual Mind Treatments (prayers), meditations and prayers after service. She is also the chair of the Education Committee for the center.
Patricia holds a bachelors degree from Antioch University and her Practitioner license from the Centers of Spiritual Living.

Patricia does workshops!
Patricia Watson gospel workshops
The word "Gospel" means "Good News." Gospel music does more than just sound sweet - it literally moves its listeners. Whether it's swaying with the chorus, tappin' along with the quartets or simply raising hands to the rhythm of soul-stirring singers, gospel is one form of music that needs to be seen and heard.
Patricia's gospel music workshop clients include Saint Margaret's of Scotland Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Central United Church in Mahone Bay, Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, Women's Festival of Song Harmony Bazaar and the International Ukulele Ceilidh.
In this workshop, we explore gospel music through song, rhythm and movement. Everyone who loves and enjoys singing and strumming is welcome. Bring your voices, instruments, cymbals, shakers, etc. Come and be moved musically at this fun and exciting workshop.
Patricia Watson jazz workshops for anyone who loves to sing!
An academic definition of Jazz would be "A genre of American music that originated in New Orleans circa 1900. It is characterized by strong, prominent meter, improvisation, distinctive tone colors and performance techniques, and dotted or syncopated rhythmic patterns."
But Jazz is so much more than that! This workshop includes a brief lesson on the history of jazz. We then focus on: Musical and lyrics formula; Improvisation and different styles of jazz.
