Pat Watson has been singing most of her life. As a little girl, she had a recurring dream, "I would be sitting in the audience watching myself sing on stage" she recalls, "and be on stage watching myself in the audience."
This has played out in her life because she has actually been in both places. She has performed many times on different stages and been an appreciative audience member watching - and listening - to other musicians.
Pat's love of music and theatre have been instrumental in shaping her life. Her current repertoire includes jazz and gospel music.
She performs with John Bird (keyboard), John Duckworth (harmonica), Dave Skinner (drums) and Steve McNeil (stand-up bass). Pat also sings with the dynamic Nova Gospel Ensemble.
"When Pat Watson finished singing On Holy Ground . . . the whole church was silent.
You know, that silence that says WOW - you have moved me so much I can't ruin the moment by clapping.
She
wowed the entire church - both religious and non-religious with a stunning rendition of that gospel tune.
My Choir - Studio Singers - was the backup group for that piece
and we were honoured to have been part of it.
The group loves singing behind Pat. She brings us to new heights and takes us to new places with her music and
her person."
